Virginia Adult & Pediatric Allergy & Asthma is proud to offer ten providers, including eight physicians and two midlevel providers. All physicians are board certified in Allergy and Immunology and one other discipline, such as Internal Medicine or Pediatrics. All of our providers are constantly working to maintain a current, state-of-the-art knowledge of allergy and immunology by attending classes and seminars and participating in clinical research studies sponsored by major pharmaceutical companies. VAPA providers participate as part-time faculty members at area college programs, and are frequently asked to present relevant topics to physician groups both locally and nationally, and to participate as guest lecturers at seminars sponsored by professional societies, pharmaceutical companies, and academic institutions. VAPA providers also contribute extensively to professional and educational journals regarding new trends in the delivery of allergy, immunology, and asthma care.

VAPA physicians accept referrals from primary care physicians, but will also see patients on a self referral basis.  Generally, there is a minimal wait to see a VAPA physician; most patients are seen within a few days.  VAPA works with all of the major insurance carriers in the Central Virginia area and with the federal programs such as Medicare and Tricare.
